The major functional materials used in Organo's water treatment systems are described below.
Ion exchange resins are used chiefly to remove the ionic substances contained in fluid to be treated. Organo deals in the Amberlite ion exchange resins manufactured by Rohm and Haas of the United States.
Membranes mainly serve to remove impurities from fluid to be treated. Organo provides ion adsorption membranes as well as MF, UF, RO and other membranes, the names of which vary depending on the size of the pores.
Activated carbon is used for liquid phase decoloration and deodorization and for the removal of hazardous substances mainly in water treatment, as well as for gas phase deodorization. Organo has a long history of designing and building systems using activated carbon.
