Founding Spirit (Our Origins)

Founding Spirit (Our Origins)

Organo's founder, Masatake Maruyama, began researching ion exchange resins as a technology for supplying drinking water during his time at the Imperial Japanese Army Medical College. In the years after World War II, amid severe energy shortages, he developed a water distillation system that required no fuel or electricity. To demonstrate its performance reliably, he also began developing water quality meters. These early efforts laid the foundation for the ultrapure water systems we now provide to cutting-edge semiconductor plants, and for our analytical technologies.
