ComplianceCompliance
Our Approach and Framework
The Organo Group conducts its corporate activities under the belief that "safety and compliance are essential to a company's survival." In April 1998, we established the "Organo Group Company Code of Conduct" in order to fulfill our corporate social responsibilities, with the goal of realizing a sustainable society. We have since revised this Code three times (in April 2008, April 2015, and March 2026), following developments in the global economy and changes in social conditions. The most recent revision, made in March 2026 and with reference to guidelines on responsible corporate behavior released by organizations such as the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), KEIDANREN, and the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), reflects the latest social requirements.
The Organo Group conducts a survey on executives and employees once every two years on their level of understanding and implementation of the Code of Conduct. The results of this survey are also reported to the Board of Directors to share issues and promote discussion on possible solutions. By continuing to engage in these initiatives, we work to strengthen compliance awareness throughout the entire Organo Group.
To promote compliance, we have established a dedicated committee that develops and implements compliance training plans, conducts compliance-related investigations, and reviews corrective measures. We have also established an internal whistleblowing system to quickly identify and address issues such as misconduct and to ensure the effectiveness of our compliance efforts. In addition to our internal contact point, we have established contact points with Audit and Supervisory Board Members and external lawyers to receive reports and consultation requests. We continue to develop local whistleblowing hotlines overseas, and have begun operating internal whistleblowing systems in Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the U.S.
We also conduct training programs aimed at improving employees' literacy in compliance risks. Some of these programs are workshop-style sessions in which participants are presented with hypothetical high-risk scenarios that could arise in their work, and learn appropriate responses through discussion with other participants. For employees unable to complete the training in the designated year due to work commitments, completion in the following year is mandatory, with a follow-up system in place to prevent missed enrollment.
