Sustainability Management

Sustainability Policy

Organo Corporation, together with its stakeholders, aims to realize a sustainable society and enhance corporate value for the future.

  • Environment

We will provide environmentally friendly products and services that contribute to water environment conservation and global warming prevention through cultivating optimization technologies with water.*

    * 'Cultivating optimization technologies with water' means the pursuit of technologies in separation, purification, analysis, and engineering related to water treatment, and the combination of these technologies to provide optimal systems and services that meet the needs of society.

  • Social

We will respect human rights, diverse values, and individuality while promoting the creation of a workplace where each and every employee can grow and flourish.

  • Governance

We will carry out our corporate activities with integrity and fairness, emphasizing dialogue and cooperation with all stakeholders.

Promotion Structure

We promote initiatives across the entire Organo Group under the supervision of the Board of Directors, with the Sustainability Committee playing a central role. By thoroughly managing progress on material issues and evaluating risks, and by maintaining transparent decision-making and an effective governance framework, we work to sustainably enhance corporate value.

Sustainability Committee

Organo has established the Sustainability Committee as the executive organization for the Organo Group's sustainability management, with the Representative Director and President serving as Chairperson. The Committee formulates basic policies, plans, and targets related to sustainability—including climate-related policies—and monitors the implementation status and progress of measures. In FY2025, the Committee met five times to discuss the material issues and emission reduction targets including KPIs to be achieved, and to confirm the progress of sustainability measures and KPI performance.

Important basic policies, plans, and targets discussed by the Committee are submitted to the Board of Directors for deliberation and final determination. The progress status of key sustainability-related measures and KPIs is also reported to the Board of Directors accordingly. In FY2025, the Committee reported to the Board of Directors on two occasions.

Sustainability implementation meetings

Organo has established the Sustainability Implementation Meeting as a sub-organization under the Sustainability Committee to promote specific measures based on basic policies and plans. The Meeting forms working groups in response to sustainability issues as they arise, with members assembled from relevant departments and group companies to work toward resolving issues. The Sustainability Implementation Meeting currently has four working groups, each focused on separate initiatives (measures to calculate and reduce GHG emissions, measures to achieve SDGs, promotion of CSR procurement, and response to TCFD recommendations). The progress status of measures implemented by the Meeting is reported to the Sustainability Committee accordingly.

Risk Management Committee

Risk management for sustainability is integrated into the Organo Group's broader risk management, which encompasses sustainability. With the Risk Management Committee as the central hub, we analyze and evaluate risks identified across the Organo Group, determine major risks for the Group, and designate the supervising departments responsible for each. These supervising departments lead the response to the identified major risks.
